MANILA -- The pain still lingers but the gratitude they have for their genuine supporters and to the University of the Philippines (UP) community is greater than the scars left after last year’s controversial UAAP cheerdance result.

After deciding to skip this year’s UAAP cheerdance competition, the UP Pep Squad on Wednesday stepped on a different mat but indeed a special one – the UP Gymansium. 

Devoid of big spotlights to complement their daring moves, judges to please and the pressure of live television, the members gave their all to show their appreciation to their loyal fans who stuck with them amid all the controversies.

The UP Pep Squad treated the UP community with numerous cheerdance routines highlighted by the “Thank U.Po!”- inspired performance which dazzled everyone inside the gym. 

As they put it -- not competing but still fighting.

Here’s a glimpse on how the UP Pep Squad gave back to people who share the same principles with them and who believe that UP is fighting for the truth.
