LOOK: House of Kobe in Valenzuela
News of the passing of Kobe Bryant stunned the world on Monday as he and his daughter Gianna, along with seven others, died in a helicopter crash.
A few hours before that fateful event, however, the House of Kobe or the Karuhatan Convention Center was inaugurated in Karuhatan, Valenzuela on Sunday afternoon.
The sixth of NBA-inspired basketball courts in the area, it was inititated by Valenzuela City Rep. Eric Martinez and started construction sometime in March 2019. The murals were made by street artists from Valenzuela.
Originally made to promote sports and serve as a high-quality playing court for the public, it now stands as a fitting final tribute to one of the greatest players to ever play the game.
