PBA: No Christmas Day games, as players granted 2-week break

For the second straight year, there will be no PBA game on Christmas Day.

League commissioner Willie Marcial said he is giving the players time to celebrate the holidays, hence, the league skipping the traditional Dec. 25 game, according to a report by Spin.ph.

The PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals, which kicked off on Saturday, is expected to conclude on Dec. 22.

The league then will take a 14-day break for the holidays and will resume with the Governors’ Cup finals on Jan. 8.
