MANILA, Philippines – San Miguel Beer has acquired former No. 1 pick Mo Tautuaa from NorthPort in exchange for another former No. 1 pick in Christian Standhardinger.
The PBA announced the trade on Monday afternoon, with the deal agreed upon on Sunday.
Tautuaa will debut for San Miguel on Sunday, when the Beermen take on Columbian Dyip at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Fil-Tongan, who was the No. 1 pick by TNT in the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft, is averaging 11.33 points and 8.33 rebounds per game in the ongoing PBA Governors' Cup.
This will be Tautuaa's third team, having been sent by TNT to NorthPort in the Terrence Romeo trade.
Standhardinger, meanwhile, is recovering from a knee injury and is averaging 3.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. The No. 1 pick in the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft, Standhardinger is also part of the national team pool for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The Fil-German forward will play as a Batang Pier for the first time on October 23, when they play the Beermen at the Cuneta Astrodome.
