PBA: TNT downs pesky Columbian to keep unbeaten start

KJ McDaniels scored 29 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, and TNT edged spirited Columbian Dyip 125-120 in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup at Ynares Center in Antipolo on Saturday.

TNT, which upped its record to 4-0, good for first place in the team standings, withstood a late-game push by Columbian led by CJ Perez.

Perez scored 23 points, Rashawn McCarthy contributed 26, while Khapri Alston finished with a game-high 38 points for the Dyip, who fell to 2-2.

Roger Pogoy chipped in 27 points for TNT.

In the first game, Marqus Blakely stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 blocks to lead Blackwater past NorthPort 107-98, its first win in 3 games.

Meanwhile, NorthPort lost its third straight after winning its tournament opener.
