PBA: Unbeaten NLEX stays in 1st place; San Miguel perfect, too

Kiefer Ravena scored 25 points, including 5 3-pointers, in a record shooting night for both teams from downtown, as NLEX beat Blackwater 115-109 in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup at Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna.

Led by Ray Parks Jr.'s 28 points and Paul Desiderio's career output of 24, Blackwater made 19 3-pointers.

Combined with NLEX's 18 treys, the two teams set the league record for most combined 3-pointers made in a single game.

Oluseyi Ashaolu added 31 points for NLEX, which raised its record to 3-0, while Blackwater dropped to 0-2.

In the second game, June Mar Fajardo scored 10 points to bring his career points total to 6,000, and San Miguel Beer took advantage of a depleted Alaska squad to win 109-83.

Maverick Ahanmisi, Noy Baclao, Kevin Racal, Jeron Teng and Justin Watts all missed the game for Alaska because of injuries.

Dez Wells finished with 25 points to lead San Miguel (2-0), while JVee Casio paced Alaska (0-3) with 16 points.
