Memphis forward Justise Winslow has been declared out for the rest of the NBA season after suffering a hip injury, the team announced.
Winslow sustained the injury when he fell after absorbing contact during an intra-squad scrimmage.
The four-year veteran is expected to make a full recovery.
On Twitter, Winslow expressed his disappointment, saying he had been "excited to join my brothers on the court" for the restart of the NBA season at the Walt Disney World complex in Orlando, Florida.
"(I) will be supporting them throughout. I'm focused on coming back 100% towards a full recovery," he said.
The 10th overall pick in the 2015 Rookie Draft, Winslow was averaging 11.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 11 games. He was sent by Miami to Memphis in February, as part of the trade that brought Andre Iguodala to the Heat.
