MANILA, Philippines -- The Chooks-to-Go NBTC national finals and coaches convention were once again postponed, after the Philippine government decided to extend the enhanced community quarantine.
"In light of the recent turn of events concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have decided to once again postpone the national finals and the coaches convention," NBTC program director Eric Altamirano said in a statement.
The national finals was originally scheduled for March 21-27 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. It was then reset to April 20-26.
However, the quarantine was extended until April 30, prompting another postponement of the annual event.
"We are one with the government in preventing the spread of the virus and helping in flattening the curve," said Altamirano.
No new date has been announced, as Chooks-to-Go, NBTC, and SM are still finalizing the schedules of the national finals and the coaches conventions.
"We assure that the participants and the public's safety is our utmost priority," said Altamirano. "We shall inform everyone as soon as possible about the new date for our tournament."
