NCAA 95: Perpetual Help sweeps elims for outright men’s finals seat

Another perfect elimination run, another outright trip to the finals.

Grand Slam-seeking University of Perpetual Help completed a sweep of the elimination round for the second straight year after running over Letran, 25-14, 25-15, 25-18, on Thursday for an automatic seat in the title series in NCAA Season 95 men’s volleyball at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Altas dominated the nine-game elims and extended its winning run to 22 straight since Season 93.

Perpetual head coach Sammy Acaylar gave all his players playing time, with top Most Valuable Player contender Louie Ramirez leading the way with 10 points on eight attacks and two aces. 

Ronniel Rosales and Ridzuan Muhali added eight markers each for the Las Pinas-based squad, which rained down 42 attack points.

Meanwhile, Arellano occupied the third final four seat after scoring a come-from-behind win over Emilio Aguinaldo College, 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-13, for a 6-2 win-loss record at third spot.
