San Beda University turned to Cesca Racraquin and Nieza Viray anew as the Lady Red Spikers kept their unbeaten card intact.
The duo showed the way to help San Beda fight back from a set down to beat Letran, 24-26, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17, on Friday for its third straight win in the NCAA Season 95 women's volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Racraquin led all scorers with 22 points off 17 attacks, three aces and a pair of kill blocks laced with seven excellent receptions for an all-around performance for the Lady Red Spikers, who tied defending three-time champion Arellano University at second spot behind league-leading College of St. Benilde (4-0).
Viray added 12 markers while Kimberly Manzano had nine points for San Beda, which had 46 kills with Lynne Matias tallying 22 excellent receptions to pilot the Lady Spikers offense.
The Lady Knights fell to a 1-2 win-loss slate, dropping their second straight game.
Chamberlaine Cunada was the only Letran player in double figures with 17 points. Daisy Melendres, Khryss Monteagudo and Julienne Castro finished with eight points each for the Lady Knights, who gave away 39 points off errors.
Meanwhile, the Red Spikers turned back the Knights, 25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20, for a 2-1 slate in men's play.
In juniors' action, Letran dodged a playdate sweep after the Squires defeated the Red Cubs, 25-20, 25-14, 30-28, to tie its victim at 2-1 slate.
