MANILA—The Bureau of Customs has seized P521.93 million worth of fake products in Pasay City, Thursday.

In a statement, the bureau said counterfeit clothes, reportedly from China, were recovered from 10 units at Warehouse 142, Cuneta Avenue.

"Found inside the warehouses are packages of counterfeit apparel of brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Vans, including fake Fitflop and Crocs sandals. Other items seized are non-branded watches and comfort shoes without the required import permit," the statement read.

The bureau said only the warehouse administrator, Lita Liao, was allegedly present during the raid, which was launched after the agency received a tip.

"According to Liao, the units were leased to certain individuals she can recall as Mr. Ang, Mr. Gee, and Mr. Ty, not their real names. The unit owners were not on the premises when the raid was conducted," the bureau said.

The unit owners will face charges for violating the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act in relation to the Intellectual Property Code.
