MANILA- Vice President Leni Robredo should reveal her findings on the government's narcotics crackdown to help improve the drug war, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Aaron Aquino said Tuesday.

Aquino, who co-chaired the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) with Robredo, said the vice president should push through with her report on the war on drugs.

"I am personally encouraging Vice President Leni Robredo to make her revelations on what she claims as her 'discoveries' on the government's drug war," Aquino said.

"I believe that whatever revelations she have would help us in improving and furthering the anti-illegal drug campaign," he added.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday axed Robredo as leader of his anti-illegal drugs campaign only after 18 days since her appointment.

Robredo on Monday said she would give a report on what she discovered about the drug war and her recommendations.

"Kung sa tingin nila, matatapos ito dito, hindi nila ako kilala. Nagsisimula pa lang ako," she said.

(If they think it ends here, they don't know me. I'm only starting.)

Robredo, who earlier criticized Duterte's drug war, pushed for a community-based rehabilitation that treats drug addiction as a public health issue and not a purely law enforcement problem.
