MANILA - The Senate on Wednesday ratified the reconsidered bicameral conference committee report on the expanded maternity leave bill.
The approved bicameral committee report deleted the provision exempting leave benefits from income tax.
The measure, once signed into law by President Rodrigo Duterte, would provide 105 days of paid maternity leave credits to all working mothers, with 7 days transferable to fathers.
Meanwhile, an additional 15 days will be granted to single mothers.
The measure, which applies to all instances of pregnancies, removes the 4-pregnancy cap. -- Report from Vivienne Gulla, ABS-CBN News
