MANILA — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Surigao del Norte province Thursday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
The tectonic tremor occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers around 8:50 p.m. 16 kilometers northeast of General Luna town.
Instrumental intensity I was recorded in Surigao City.
The Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected from the quake.
