BAGUIO - There will be plenty of ube jams to go around starting Saturday.

This after farmers from San Emilio, Ilocos Sur delivered purple yams to the Good Shepherd Convent here following dwindling supply of ube due to climate change.

"Due to changing climate, our ube farmers are having difficulty growing ube. It has been our struggle in the recent years to find a stable supply. And in the past weeks there were none," Good Shepherd Convent earlier said.

The religious group urged ube-jam fans to take care of the environment and help call for climate justice, saying "climate emergency is real."
