CEBU CITY - An official of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Region 7 was killed in an ambush here on Friday afternoon.

Baby Earl Rallos, assistant chief of operations at PDEA-7, was on his way home driving his vehicle when the shooting incident happened.

Witnesses in the area said two men aboard a motorcycle came from the opposite direction. The back rider shot the victim.

Rallos tried to get off his vehicle through the passenger side but the gunman returned and shot him again, witnesses said.

A habal-habal driver was also hit during the ambush and was rushed to the hospital.

Police are gathering footage from the CCTV nearby to identify the assailants.
