"[T]he fact is that our city hospitals are nearing saturation point. We need more human resources," said Sotto in an Instagram post.

Sotto provided an email address where interested individuals may send their application.

"If you're a doctor/nurse who would want to work for the city (whether temporarily or full time/part time) pls email pasigcovidTF@gmail.com," said Sotto.

While admitting the shortage of their medical manpower, Sotto meanwhile recognized the efforts of their city frontliners.

"I'm so thankful and proud of our doctors. Wala silang reklamo kahit sobrang pagod na."

In its last public bulletin, Pasig City, as of March 26, has 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 3 recorded fatalities.

The Philippines has logged 1,075 COVID-19 cases, 68 of whom died and 35 others recovered, as of Saturday, according to the Department of Health.
