MANILA—Five of these women will represent the Philippines in international pageants this year.

The Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates were introduced to media at New Frontier Theater in Cubao on Thursday, with this year’s batch composed of new names and familiar faces.

They will vie for five crowns — Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, and Bb. Pilipinas Globe — as well as two runner-up positions.

This will be the first time in over 50 years that Bb. Pilipinas will not send a representative to Miss Universe. This as a different organization, led by former beauty queen Shamcey Supsup, now holds the local Miss Universe franchise.
