MANILA - Filipina beauty queen Justine Mae San Jose failed to enter the Top 10 of the 2016 Miss Tourism International beauty pageant held in Malaysia on New Year's Eve.

Ariel Pearse of New Zealand took home the crown, while Indonesia's Dikna Faradiba and Mexico's Ximena Delgado clinched the second and third spot.

Completing Pearse's court were Australia's Tasha Ross and Brazil's Thaina Magalhanes, who won fourth and fifth places, respectively.

The other beauty queens who made it to the Top 10 were representatives from Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Netherlands and Zimbabwe.

San Jose, who was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas-Tourism International 2016 in July, won the Miss Gintell Wellness award, a minor prize from one of the sponsors.
