MANILA – “What would your reign look like if you were Miss Universe?”
This was the question given to selected Miss Universe 2019 candidates in a video posted on the pageant’s social media pages on Sunday (Manila time), just a week before the coronation night in Atlanta on December 8.
And while most beauty queens took the opportunity to talk about their respective advocacies, Philippine representative Gazini Ganados was more straightforward.
“My reign would be productive, relevant, and fun at the same time,” she simply said, directly answering the question.
“I have one whole year to live my dream, and I would not waste any opportunity to wholeheartedly do my job.”
Watch her response at the 2:24 mark in the video below:
Ganados is aiming for a back-to-back victory for the Philippines in Miss Universe, after Catriona Gray’s win in December last year.
Should she win, Ganados will be the fifth Filipina to win Miss Universe after Gray, Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
