MANILA -- Kris Bernal has temporarily closed her Korean restaurant in Banawe, Quezon City amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In an Instagram post, the actress noted the "alarming" number of COVID-19 cases in the country, saying that closing House of Gogi "until further notice" is their way of helping prevent the spread of the virus.
She stressed that "2020 is not a year to make profit," but to "make sure to stay alive."
"Thank you so much for the overwhelming support for House of Gogi, especially during the past few months. While our goal is to serve you the best Korean dishes, our staff's safety is our top priority right now," she said.
"The increasing number of positive cases is alarming, and we should do our best to prevent the spread of the virus. Hence, we'll be closing House of Gogi Banawe until further notice," she added.
Bernal went on to thank her fiance, Perry Choi, for being a source of support amid challenging times.
She also sent her prayers to "those businesses that are struggling right now" because of the pandemic.
Aside from House of Gogi, Bernal also has a makeup business called SHE Cosmetics.
