MANILA -- Host and fitness enthusiast Dyan Castillejo swears by this recipe to keep her immune system strong amid the lockdown caused by the novel coronavirus.
On Instagram, the "Sports U" host said she got her "immune booster" recipe from a friend in Italy.
"For me when I took it, made my throat clear in a day. And also I was not really getting hungry while I was taking it, and I notice I ate less in a day," she said.
Castillejo's "immune booster" is a mixture of four ingredients -- chopped garlic, chopped or grated ginger, freshly squeezed lemon or calamansi juice, and honey "to tame the taste."
"Mix all together. If you have a cold or cough, throat pain, etc., take 1 tsp every 30-45 minutes all day. For my neighbors, in 24-48 hours they felt so much better. If no symptoms, take a shot of 2 tbsp 3 times a day," she said.
