MANILA – Beatrice Luigi Gomez was recently crowned Binibining Cebu 2020, with the beauty queen making waves as she admitted to being a member of the LGBT community.

During the question and answer round of the pageant, Gomez, who represented San Fernando, was asked about what she thinks makes her beautiful.

“I guess what makes me beautiful is my bravery and being true to myself. To tell you guys, honestly, I have a girlfriend. I have tattoos, and I am proud of my imperfections. I guess that is what makes me beautiful,” she said, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

Watch her answer the question at the 2:57:00 mark in the video.

A quick look at Gomez’ Instagram page shows that she is vocal about her love for Kate Jagdon, a DJ and businesswoman.

One of the old posts of the Binibining Cebu 2020 titleholder showed her kissing Jagdon, with the caption: “Warm as the sun, bright as the day, vast as the ocean, beautiful as you, my happy pill.”

Jagdon, for her part, was a proud girlfriend as she took to Instagram to congratulate Gomez on her pageant win.

“You have come a long way, but I know this is only the beginning. Always remember I am always here to support you no matter what,” she told the beauty queen.
