MANILA -- She was recently recognized by Forbes Asia for her active role in relief efforts at disaster-stricken areas in the Philippines.
And this weekend, Angel Locsin was again hard at work helping those in need.
The actress was spotted early Saturday morning in Catarman town, Northern Samar, buying groceries, which she later distributed to those who were affected by typhoon Tisoy in the province.
Typhoon Tisoy was one of the worst storms to hit the country this year, with nine people confirmed to have been killed.
Locsin's latest act of charity was well-appreciated by those online who shared pictures of her, praising her as a real-life Darna, a superhero role she once portrayed on television.
She was dubbed as "hero" by Forbes Asia, alongside billionaires, for her relief efforts during disasters, among other causes.
