The final trailer of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" is hinting at the possible death of a major character in the Skywalker saga.
The new trailer reunites Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren, including the droids BB-8, C-3PO and R2-D2, as they fight for the future of the Force and end the conflict between the Jedi Order and the Sith. There are glimpses of new characters such as Zorri Bliss (Kerri Russel), a new planet Kijimi, and the return of Lando Calrissian and the series' big bad, Emperor Palpatine.
Actress Daisy Ridley reprises her role as Rey along with co-stars Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, John Boyega as Finn, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, Domhnall Gleeson as Hux, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Jimmy Vee as R2-D2, Billie Lourd as Kaydel Ko Connix, Naomi Ackie as Jannah, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and (thanks to archival footage) Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will open in theaters worldwide in December 2019.
