The first trailer for "Captain Marvel," the first Marvel Studios movie to be headlined solely by a female character, was released Tuesday.
Starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, the film, set in 1990s America, will tell the origin story of the titular superhero.
The video, which premiered on "Good Morning America," showed Danvers grappling with her mysterious past after falling to Earth, while also giving a proper look at her powers and costume.
Plot details that were revealed include a glimpse of the Skrulls (led by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos) as they invade the planet, and Captain Marvel's first meeting with Nick Fury, portrayed still by Samuel L. Jackson.
"Captain Marvel" is scheduled to premiere in March 2019.
