MANILA — Here's a rare duet that marks the coming together of two versions of "Aladdin."
Filipino music icon Lea Salonga performed over the weekend "A Whole New World" with fellow Broadway star Adam Jacobs.
Salonga was the original singing voice of Princess Jasmine in the 1992 animated film from Disney, while Jacobs portrayed the titular character in the 2011 Broadway debut of "Aladdin."
In the film, Brad Kane was Aladdin's singing voice, while in the stage version, Courtney Reed played Jasmine.
Salonga and Jacobs performed the virtual duet of "A Whole New World" as part of the "Quarantine Cabaret" series of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School over the weekend.
