“Idol Philippines” finalist Lance Busa was more than glad to put a little smile on the faces of COVID-19 frontliners who have been working non-stop during this crisis.
This after he was invited by priests from Father Saturnino Urios University in his hometown Butuan City to do a surprise show for the volunteers.
“I gladly said if it’s a chance for me to do what I can in times where performers like us can’t do anything for the following months, I’m honored to do this po,” he said.
While observing quarantine measures imposed by authorities, Busa performed on stage a couple of songs including “Lean On Me,” “Imahe,” “Hindi Tayo Pwede,” “Rise Up” and “Flashlight.”
Aside from missing the rush of performing before a crowd, Busa said it was heartwarming to see the frontliners smiling when he sang.
“Nakaka-miss po talaga kumanta and it lit the fire in me to hopefully surprise more frontliners, make them happy, while I get to do what I love to do,” he said.
Busa has been staying in his hometown since a lockdown was declared in the area last March 11.
