MANILA -- Outspoken actress Agot Isidro expressed her support for ABS-CBN, amid the challenges to its franchise renewal.
In an interview at the sidelines of a press conference for the upcoming horror movie "Motel Acacia" on Friday, Isidro said she believes that the network will obtain its franchise and will continue to operate.
"I am with ABS-CBN for 28 years already, so Kapamilya talaga ako rito," Isidro shared.
"I think may mga proseso na naman na nangyayari na a lot of people have been supportive of the granting of the franchise. I'm very, very positive, feeling ko na maga-grant," Isidro added.
Meanwhile, Isidro also reacted on speculations that she is planning to run for senator in 2022.
"Ganun? 'Di sana ginawa ko na 'yan last election? I am just a taxpayer, I'm a citizen of the Philippines. So I'm just exercising my freedom and rights," she said.
"Wala (pong plano). Ang dami kong ginawa ko may 'Motel Acacia' ako sa March 11, may 'Tabing Ilog,' the Musical at 'Lihim ni Ligaya,'" Isidro said.
"Motel Acacia," which had received acclaim at the Tokyo and Taipei film festivals last year, also stars JC Santos.
Directed by Philippine-based director Bradley Liew and co-produced by Black Sheep, the movie opens in Philippine cinemas on March 11.
