MANILA -- Celebrity couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez, together with composer Louie Ocampo on Monday performed an original song "Salamat, Kapamilya," dedicated to ABS-CBN employees and supporters.
They performed the song during the Kapamilya Walk of Faith, praying for the renewal of network's franchise.
Can you write the lyrics for it?' I said, 'Bro, I will try my best.' Got off the phone and I started writing, listening to the beautiful melody that he wrote," Alcasid narrated.
He continued: "It's my hope and our hope that when we wrote this song, this could be our song. I believe in my heart of hearts that all of us actually needed this. It's because sa ating kahinaan doon lumalakas ang Panginoon ... His grace is sufficient all the time because it is in our weakness that His power and His strength rests," Alcasid.
He then asked his wife Velasquez and the ABS-CBN employees to join him in singing the song.
