MANILA -- Actress Bela Padilla will co-star with Korean actor Kim Gun-Woo in an upcoming film.
Kim’s agency, Good People Entertainment, confirmed Saturday in an Instagram post that the 28-year-old actor will appear in the film titled “Ultimate Oppa.”
The film is a joint project between Viva Entertainment, which manages Padilla, and Reality Entertainment, according to a report by Korean entertainment news site Soompi.
The romantic-comedy film follows the relationship between the manager of a Korean celebrity and a Filipino fan of Hallyu (“Korean wave”) stars, according to the Soompi report.
The film will be shot in South Korea and the Philippines, the report said.
Kim made his acting debut as a martial arts fighter in the 2017 drama “Fight For My Way.”
In December, Padilla starred in the Filipino adaptation of South Korean film “Miracle in Cell No. 7.”
