MANILA - AirAsia said Tuesday domestic flights to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the Clark International Airport were canceled until April 14 due to the COVID-19 lockdown in Luzon.
AirAsia domestic flights to and from NAIA and Clark are suspended until April 14, the airline said in an advisory. International flights will also be canceled by March 20, it said, in compliance with the stricter restrictions under the enhanced community quarantine that took effect Tuesday.
Foreigners who wish to leave the country were given 72 hours to do so, officials said Monday.
"In compliance with the Philippine government’s directive imposing travel restrictions due to the current public health situation, AirAsia is cancelling all its domestic flights to/from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and to/from the Clark International Airport until 14 April," it said.
"International flights from both said airports will also be cancelled starting 20 March until 14 April," AirAsia said.
Philippine Airlines on Tuesday said it cancelled all domestic flights until April 12 due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
