The Bar Awards on Tour is an initiative designed to help grow the cocktail and bar community in Manila. The event brings to Manila four bartenders from top bars in Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur, all of which have made it on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. The bartenders are in Manila for just one day to inspire and be inspired by the local bar community, to share their insights and experiences, and of course, to concoct their signature cocktails for bargoers to enjoy.

The four featured bartenders host two events at the Shangri-La at the Fort on November 21, starting with Bar Talks at 3 P.M., where those interested can catch Kho, Chavez, and Khoo, together with moderator and Diageo World Class Ph’s Brand Ambassador Rian Asiddao, discussing what it will take to make Manila the next cocktail capital of Asia.

Bar Talks will be followed by the main event, a Bar Takeover of the Shangri-La at the Fort’s award winning speakeasy, The Back Room. Starting at 8 P.M., the four visiting bartenders take over the bar for the rest of the night, giving bargoers a once-in-a-blue moon chance to enjoy a taste of some of their signature cocktails without having to fly out of Manila. It’s one event that cocktail enthusiasts will not want to miss.
