In Metro Manila, the luxury properties have laid claims to the upmarket environment of Makati City and the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City. But the growing need of real estate buyers to indulge in high-end realty has pushed the market to expand to bigger, less crowded territories, where the high society reside.
The Velaris Residences has heeded the need of this rising market trend. Standing tall along the busy C5 corridor, it positions itself between exclusive, private developments that have been quietly experiencing robust economic growth in the past decade. The 45-storey premium condominium’s design itself will speak of its luxury: concrete-and-glass look, with metallic bronze and rose-gold façade.
Built by RHK Land Corporation, a joint venture of two real estate powerhouses—international property development expert Hongkong Land (HKL) and Philippine real estate leader Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC)—the high-rise project is made for affluent families, top level executives, successful businessmen, and the elite few.
HKL, a property investment, management, and development group, owns and manages more than 850,000 square meters of prime office and luxury retail property in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, and Jakarta, as well as high-end projects across Greater China and Southeast Asia. In Manila, its most notable projects are the famously exclusive One Roxas Triangle and Two Roxas Triangle in Makati City.
Henry L. Yap, president of RHK Land Corporation, says of this pivotal project, “The Velaris Residences represents a window of opportunity to invest in a luxury development in one of the most dynamic geographies in Metro Manila.”
The Velaris Residences will showcase the combined vision and experience of HLK and RLC, and will serve as a predecessor of other developments from the joint venture.
Location and Accessibility
The Velaris Residences is built on a prime spot in Bridgetowne, an emerging destination estate master planned by Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC). The vibrant 31-hectare mixed-use township spans Quezon City and Pasig City, two of the most dynamic areas in the metro.
The first of a three-tower development plan by RHK inside Bridgetowne, The Velaris Residences will serve the demands of investors. As the infrastructure projects around the area continue to make progress, the value of the properties are also expected to rise further. The Metro Manila Subway project and the Manila Metro Rail Transit System 4 (MRT 4), along Ortigas Avenue, will help ensure ease of access for residents, and will lead to a surge in property values.
Bridgetowne itself has an energy of its own, being at the center of the metro, with three direct access points: C5 Road, Ortigas Avenue, and Amang Rodriguez Avenue. With shorter time spent traveling to and from offices and commercial establishments, residents are given options to attain work-life balance.
Furthermore, a 200-meter long bridge—designed by Mañosa and Company using state-of-the-art technology—provides its residents uninterrupted urban connectivity.
“Intentional Design Philosophy”
Created with an “intentional design philosophy”—where the designers consider the experience of the residents at every step of the design process—The Velaris Residences aims to bring the lifestyle of the affluent in Hongkong to Manila.
And because it serves the modern, fast, and opulent life, all units are smart homes that use smart digital locks, smart air-conditioning, and smart lights, all of which can be controlled remotely with any smart phone. There are smart mirrors, too—because multitasking is the language of the successful elite.
Private lift lobbies for the two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and penthouse units ensure privacy and exclusivity. As the residents step out of the elevators, they are led directly inside their units.
The SkyClub, at the 45th level, reminds the residents of the importance of being on top of their game. Drinks and fine fare are served here. It is an exclusive suite of interconnected entertainment facilities that include a game room, a cards and wine rooms, exclusive dining spaces, and a Skydeck that offers a panoramic view of the busy city below.
These days, the new status symbol is how much one spends on wellness and health. The Velaris Residences acquiesces.
Located on the fifth floor are the lifestyle gym, a dance studio, a yoga room, and a yoga deck, for those who want to do their meditations al fresco. There’s also an Olympic-length pool, which in itself, is an attraction. An onsen that has indoor and outdoor pools is on the building’s third floor.
The Velaris Residences occupies an entire block, separating them from other establishments, and providing further privacy and exclusivity to its tenants. Outside the buildings, residents can enjoy the verdant central park, and the view of the towering, 60-meter high, “The Victor” statue, by Filipino-American artist Jefre Manuel-Figueras.
“The Philippine property market is one of the most exciting markets in Asia, and we are delighted to be part of it and to bring the innovations and design excellence that Hongkong Land is known for,” said Robert Wong, chief executive of HKL. “Through our partnership with Robinsons Land Corporation, we have no doubt that we can duplicate our global successes in the Philippines through The Velaris Residences.”
The Velaris Residences got its name from two Latin words, viventium, and stellaris: “living” and “stellar.” That means you can expect nothing less than a stellar, luxurious life while you’re living at the heart of the city.
The Velaris Residences Show Gallery was formally opened on February 21. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
