HP Inc. Philippines and Go Negosyo, a local non-profit organization, have announced plans to collaborate over the next 12 months to drive the adoption of digital technology across the Philippines to help out the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) who mostly own businesses that showcase locally-made products and wide range of services.
This collaboration aims to help solve the key challenge facing numerous MSMEs today who lack knowledge and technology expertise to build a digital presence that creates a barrier to further growth.
HP wanted to address this problem through entrepreneurship and the building of an online presence for their business by delivering technology innovation, knowledge, and resources to MSMEs customers at the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) events.
The KMME is a program held in Negosyo Centers nationwide to help MSMEs scale up their business through weekly coaching and mentoring by business owners and practitioners on different functional areas of entrepreneurship.
As HP believes it, the customer reach for these local products and unique services can be further extended through digitization and personalization of their offers as this makes them more accessible for the rapidly evolving Philippine market that embraces digital methods of commerce.
At the recently held SIGN UP Summit and Go Negosyo and Department of Trade and Industry's KMME program, HP was already able to educate MSMEs on a range of technology innovation that they can access as they position their business for success.
This included devices from the latest lineup of HP PC and Printers, such as EliteBook x360 laptop, EliteDesk Desktop Mini PCs, and Engage One Prime Retail POS that are built for SMBs in mind focusing on HP’s innovation platform: Security, Design, and Collaboration.
Complimenting HP PCs are HP Printers that are designed for SMBs as well with the HP Neverstop Laser Multifunction printer, HP Smart Tank printer, HP Laser printer, and HP OfficeJet Pro printer—all these provide great value for money by driving down costs without sacrificing quality while maximizing functionality, making them ideal for MSMEs.
Participants in the Go Negosyo events will be able to access dedicated HP resources like HP LIFE, a set of free online self-paced training courses designed to help entrepreneurs learn core skills required to establish, grow and sustain a business.
The HP and Go Negosyo alliance is especially relevant as the Philippines embraces Industry 4.0, a world where digital transformation will disrupt the physical and digital worlds for a range of industries including business, finance and government.
At the present, the country is home to over 900,000 MSMEs and these businesses play a critical role in the advancement of the nation towards Industry 4.0.
