Wilcon's 50th Philippine store opens in GenSan

Homegrown retail giant Wilcon Depot recently opened its 50th depot store in General Santos City, South Cotabato. 

The store at Purok Palen, Barangay Labangal, General Santos City was inaugurated December 14, 2018.

It has a total sales area of over 12,000 square meters, accommodating thousands of local and international brands in the market.

Wilcon President and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincochan and SEVP-Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Bosch-Ong led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

Also gracing the event were United Architects of the Philippines National President Architect Benjamin Panganiban Jr., Lixil Philippines Country Manager Alen Alban, General Santos City Vice Mayor Shirlyn Nograles, and South Cotabato 1st District Rep. Pedro Acharon, Jr.

To bring more shopping delight to its customers, Wilcon Depot General Santos kicked off the celebration with special discounts, giveaways, and rewards.

The grand opening of its new retail outlet is part of the company's growth strategy in reaching more key cities and provincial localities to directly respond to the growing customers' demand for home building and construction supplies.

The company also allows customers to create their desired 3D layout through a computer software with a cost estimate and product list made possible in the Design Hub section inside the store.

Customers can also avail their Wilcon Loyalty Card for free and enjoy promo exclusives and offerings.

The General Santos depot is the fifth Wilcon retail outlet in the Mindanao region.

Other stores had been inaugurated in Matina, Davao in 2009, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte and Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental in 2017, and Zamboanga City August this year.

Wilcon is set to open stores in Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Antipolo, Rizal; Matandang Balara, Capitol, Quezon City; Sto. Tomas, Batangas; Cauayan City, Isabela; Baguio City; Sta. Barbara, Iloilo; Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental; and Panacan Valle Verde, Davao City.
