President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said he will visit Leyte before heading home to Davao City to check on the more than 30 people who were injured during the bombing of the Hilongos Plaza on Wednesday night.

Duterte claimed that the incident is drug-related and the New People's Army (NPA) had nothing to do with it.

"Turf war. You cannot attribute it to anybody. Ang NPA walang record na magtapon ng granada sa mga tao," he said.
