The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on Tuesday said it will summon officials of the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) to its investigation into the scrapped dengue immunization program.
PAO claimed recently that their forensic examination found a supposed pattern leading to the deaths of at least 5 children who were given the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia.

PAO chief Atty. Persida Rueda-Acosta and Dr. Erwin Erfe, head of the agency's Forensic Laboratory, have thrice failed to attend Senate hearings on the issue.

"Whatever they have, information nila, will be very helpful in our investigation," said Senator JV Ejercito, who motioned to issue a subpoena on the PAO officials.

Acosta and Erfe missed the hearings because they were on assignment, said PAO's Nazario Bancoro, Jr.
Blue Ribbon Committee chair Senator Richard Gordon then told Bancoro, "Please inform them nonetheless that we will issue a subpoena."
