Two weeks after Taal Volcano’s eruption, the alert level was downgraded a notch to level 3 by authorities.

This prompted the local government to lift lockdown orders in the towns of Agoncillo and Laurel, except for six barangays within the seven-kilometer radius of the danger zone.

The two municipalities were the last of 14 towns in Batangas to reopen due to their proximity to Taal Volcano.

As Taal Volcano slowly subsides for now, residents of these municipalities were allowed to return to their homes and pick up their lives.

Here are some scenes from their return.
