MMA: Joshua Pacio to defend crown vs Brazil's Alex Silva

MANILA - Following his successful title defense against Rene Catalan, Joshua Pacio will again put his ONE strawweight belt on the line on January 31, 2020.

Pacio will face a former champion in Brazil’s Alex “Little Rock” Silva in the main event of "ONE: Fire and Fury" at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Silva, a former ONE strawweight world champion, has been impressive as of late, earning his way back to title contention behind two incredible submission victories over Stefer Rahardian and Peng Xue Wen.

Also fighting in the same card are Pacio’s fellow Team Lakay fighters.

Former ONE lightweight world champion Eduard “Landslide” Folayang of the Philippines returns to action against Pakistan’s Ahmed “The Wolverine” Mujtaba, while former flyweight contender Danny “The King” Kingad returns to face China’s “The Hunter” Xie Wei.

Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang is also being lined up against Thailand strawweight Pongsiri “The Smiling Assassin” Mitsatit while Team Lakay’s Gina “Conviction” Iniong squares off against India’s Asha “Knockout Queen” Roka.

The Philippines’ Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres will also return to action against former title contender Jenny “Lady GoGo” Huang of Chinese Taipei.
