MANILA -- The Philippines won another gold medal in the 30th Southeast Asian Games soft tennis event after beating Thailand, 3-2, on Tuesday.
The team composed of Mark Anthony Alcoseba, Joseph Arcilla, Noel Jr Damian, Kevin Fraz Mamawal, Mikoff Manduriao and Dheo Talatayod snagged the third gold for soft tennis after winning in the men’s doubles category.
Thailand landed a silver medal in the finals, while Cambodia settled for bronze.
Women’s soft tennis player Bien Zoleta and her sister Bambi started off strong for the Philippine team, bagging two gold medals in the soft tennis women’s individual category and women’s doubles last Saturday.
