Tacloban kept its semifinals hopes alive after hurdling listless and undermanned Adamson-Akari, 25-11, 25-12, 25-19, Saturday in the Premier Volleyball Season 2 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
The Fighting Warays waylaid the limping Lady Falcons, who played without injured Bernadette Flora and Lea Ann Perez, to improve their record to 6-7 and remain in contention for the last best-of-three Final Four berth.
Dimdim Pacres wreaked havoc with 14 attacks, two aces and a kill block for 17 points to lead Tacloban to its second straight win. Skipper Jovielyn Prado got 13 markers while Anne Esguerra and Heather Guino-o combined for eight markers for the Fighting Warays, who burned Adamson-Akari with 45 attacks.
