PetroGazz showed nerves of steel in coming back from six points down in the fourth set to silence Ateneo-Motolite, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-23, and move a step closer to clinching the last Final Four berth in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan Saturday.

New recruit Rossan Fajardo provided the spark in the Angels’ impressive comeback from a 10-16 deficit while veteran Cai Baloaloa delivered the finishing blows including the last two points of PetroGazz in the resounding win that hiked its win-loss record to 7-5.

Baloaloa posted 13 markers with 10 coming off attacks while Paneng Mercado had 12 for the Angels. Jonah Sabete registered 10 points with 15 excellent receptions and 11 digs for PetroGazz, which can secure the last semis ticket with a win over listless Adamson-Akari on Sunday in the last of their back-to-back weekend assignments.
