Justin Brownlee scored 26 points and nearly finished with a triple-double to lead Barangay Ginebra to a 113-90 win over Columbian Dyip in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Friday.

The win secured for Ginebra (7-3) a twice-to-beat incentive in the playoffs.

Columbian fell to 4-7 and ninth place, a notch out of the playoff picture.

It was a close game until the fourth quarter, where Ginebra dusted off Columbian to the tune of a 31-12 points difference.

Brownlee added 9 rebounds and 9 assists, Stanley Pringle and Jeff Chan contributed 20 points each for Ginebra, which was brilliant from 3-point territory, making 12 of 25 in that area for 48%.

Khapri Alston finished with 34 points, and CJ Perez added 19 points for the Dyip.

In the first game, Doug Kramer saw off his career with a 120-117 by Phoenix over Blackwater.

Matthew Wright led Phoenix with 28 points, while Kramer, who had announced his retirement at the end of the season, tallied 3 points and 10 rebounds in his farewell game.

Mac Belo finished with 25 points to pace Blackwater, which finished its campaign with a tournament-worst 2-9 record.

Phoenix, also eliminated from contention, ended up with a 3-8 record.
