MANILA, Philippines -- Petro Gazz and Creamline will meet once again in the championship round of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

This time around, the budding rivals will contest the Open Conference crown after dispatching of separate opponents in the semifinals on Sunday at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Angels rode the momentum of a tight first set win to claim a 28-26, 25-17, 25-17 victory over the BanKo Perlas Spikers.

Jovie Prado had 13 points, Paneng Mercado added 11, and Jonah Sabete had 10 points as the Angels took care of business against the Pearl Spikers in just an hour and 24 minutes.

Petro Gazz's net defense was a massive factor in the win, as they registered 11 kill blocks to only 2 for BanKo Perlas. Jeanette Panaga accounted for 4 blocks, while Cherry Nunag had 3 rejections

Meanwhile, the Cool Smashers extended their winning streak to 18 games after cruising to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-8 victory over Motolite.

This will be a rematch of the 2019 PVL Reinforced Conference finals, which the Angels won in three games. Creamline is gunning for back-to-back crowns in the Open Conference.

The best-of-3 finals begin on November 6.
