PH surprises Romania, but falls vs Spain in FIBA 3X3

The Philippine team pulled off a surprise against sixth-seed Romania at the 2016 FIBA 3X3 World Championship in China on Wednesday.

Team Philippines composed of Mac Belo, Russel Escoto, Glenn Khobuntin and Karl Dehesa won, 21-19, against the Romanians.

Team Philippines, however, failed to sustain its run when it ran smack against Spain later in the day.

Spain, ranked 11th on the tournament, beat the Filipinos, 21-16.

The Filipinos will next face Hungary and Poland on Friday.
