The Philippine women’s volleyball team has concluded its Bangkok training camp with a two-set game against Japanese club team Toray Arrows before heading to Nakhon Ratchasima for the inaugural ASEAN Grand Prix.
The Pinays won, 28-26, 17-25, over the Arrows before packing up for Nakhon Ratchasima, according to ABS-CBN Sports.
Toray Arrows previously beat the nationals, 24-26, 16-25, 11-25, 18-25, 19-21, over the weekend.
The 14-member national team will be competing in the ASEAN Grand Prix on September 20-22 as part of its build-up for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The Filipinas previously lost to the Thailand U-23 team Monday last week and only won one set against powerhouse Thailand senior squad the next day.
The team then hammered out a 4-set victory in their rematch against the U-23 team before decisively beating Bangkok University last Thursday.
