Philippine Air Force stamped its class over archrival PacificTown Army, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19, on Saturday to stretch its winning streak to three in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
Six-foot-2 Dell Palomata bullied her way to 20 points as the Lady Jet Spikers closed the first round with a 3-5 win-loss record.
Palomata hammered 17 of Air Force’s 41 attack points and had three kill blocks. May Ann Pantino and Judy Ann Caballejo scored nine markers each for the resurging Lady Jet Spikers, who started their campaign on a sour note after losing five straight.
“Sana magtuluy-tuloy pa para makapasok kami sa top four. Yun naman ang aim ng team, makapasok muna sa top four and another plan naman pagdating doon,” said Air Force coach Jasper Jimenez.
