Grazielle Bombita played through leg cramps to give BaliPure a much-needed win, as the Water Defenders beat Philippine Air Force 26-24, 16-25, 25-19, 17-25, 17-15, in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Open Conference on Wednesday.
The Bicolana hitter endured pain beginning in the third set at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan, as she poured 23 points to pace the Water Defenders, who arrested a two-game skid and ended a 12-game losing slump overall this season including a listless outing in the Reinforced Conference.
Jozza Cabalsa and Dell Palomata scored 13 points each for the Jet Spikers, who fell to 0-3.

Meanwhile, PacificTown Army's experience and veteran composure worked to its advantage in outlasting ChocoMucho 39-41, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-12, a marathon match that lasted 2 hours and 46 minutes.
Honey Royse Tubino and Jovelyn Gonzaga led PacificTown to a 2-0 start, as the Flying Titans even their record at 1-1.
