Chris McCullough scored 19 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter, and San Miguel Beer erased a 16-point fourth quarter deficit to down TNT 99-94 at Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday and be on the brink of the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup title.

San Miguel, which leads the best-of-7 series 3-2, can close the deal on Friday, also at the Big Dome.

TNT erected its biggest lead 85-69 with just a little more than a minute into the fourth, thanks to a 3-pointer by Roger Pogoy.

But the Beermen used stifling defense on Terrence Jones and forced TNT to commit 9 turnovers in the quarter to outscore the KaTropa 30-14 en route to the win.

Terrence Romeo added 22 points and 4 3-pointers, while June Mar Fajardo added 16 points and 11 rebounds for San Miguel, which won despite its starting back court of Chris Ross and Alex Cabagnot combining for just 4 of 17 from the field.

Jones, who was limited to just 3 points in the fourth, tallied 35 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists, but struggled on offense when Christian Standhardinger was assigned to him midway through the fourth.

A McCullough jumper capped an 11-2 run that reduced TNT's lead to 87-80, a 4-minute stretch that saw TNT go without a field goal.

A turnover by Jones and an ensuing foul by Jayson Castro led to 2 free throws by McCullough that narrowed the gap to 94-93 with 1:46 left in the game.

Another miscue by Jones later allowed San Miguel to take the driver's seat 95-94 on a jumper by McCullough.

A Jones miss on the drive and a muffed 3-point attempt by Troy Rosario all but sealed TNT's fate.

Rosario added 24 points for TNT.
